Sausage, Peppers and Onions, Oh My!

21 Day Fix approved sausage with peppers and onions!

We had ours over pasta but you could also make this and put it into 1/2 of a whole wheat pita.


  • 1 package of chicken sausage (smoked)
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 can of reduced sodium diced tomatoes with Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 box of whole wheat penne pasta (or whole wheat pita, halved)

  • Prepare pasta as per directions on box.
  • Slice chicken sausage into medallions.
  • Saute onions and green peppers. Once onions are translucent add tomatoes and sausage.
  • Cover and cook until mixture is bubbling.
  • Serve over pasta. 

This is a quick, simple recipe that takes minutes to make.

1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green
